Composing in Web 2.0. [101.11]

In the world of user-generated content, each one of us is capable of becoming an overnight sensation. As we observe, discuss, and analyze Web 2.0, we will start to unravel what it means to live in Web 2.0. But mostly—as this is above all a writing course—from the first day of class, we will compose an exploration of the many forms and types of media that make up our daily experiences. In doing so, we will compose a living record of the what it means to create and compose in Web 2.0.

I chose this video because i believe its stupidly-funny. This video is a remix to a song made by an artist named "chip the ripper". This video is an example on how people can do something so simple and make it into something that's the "talk of the town". This video has nothing. its repetitive and its pointless; that's what makes this video so great.

What makes a remix that is, as you say, "repetitive and its pointless.." so great? Can you elaborate a little more? I don't think it's great at all. But perhaps I cannot see what you see. Convince me.
